Carmen and Shawn’s wintery wonderland wedding was featured today on the Savvy Scoop blog. Exciting stuff – I’m honored to have my work chosen for this site, whose audience is international. I will try my best not to excitedly buy up all of the newsstand copies of Brides in Edmonton this month, so y’all can check it out yourselves in line at the grocery store! Woo!
The magazine only published the first places wins in each category, but I also had one of my photos chosen in the top ten for the “Kids” category!
Exciting news! Earlier this month, I entered 4 photos into a contest sponsored by the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers, and all four of them received awards! Yay!

We’re one of the winners in the 2008 PDN Top Knots Contest!
Dallas and I have talked about how amazing it would be to be featured somehow in PDN (our favorite photo magazine) for literally years, in this dreamy sort of way, with a lot of “like that would ever happen!” inner dialogue on both our parts. We finally got brave enough to enter a few photos this year, and I was in total shock when they phoned to tell us they’d be publishing one of our photos. I didn’t actually believe it until this morning when I saw the website with my own eyes. The April 2008 issue will be hitting newsstands in Canada shortly, so take a look if you see it in your favorite bookstore!
The gorgeous bride in this photo is Amanda – if you’d like, take a peek at their their wedding slideshow. It was an amazing day, and I want to thank Scotty and Amanda and their families once again for being so great to work with – everyone was so cooperative and fun and easygoing, which enabled Dallas and I to do our best work possible. Thanks a million!
Other good news, which ties into the real purpose of this entry – showing you some photos we’ve taken recently. Dallas and I have a cool new office/meeting space. What makes it so awesome, you ask?
Joann and Paul met with us last week for some engagement photos, which we took on our rooftop patio. You can see everything from up here – we’re on the west end of downtown near Oliver Square, and not only does it give us an amazing downtown view, we can see past WEM to the very farthest edge of the city!
