I adopted a cat this weekend from the Edmonton Humane Society. I wanted to take them all home, but this guy won out!

Scruffy was a big tough ol’ stray. His ear was injured at some point, but other than that, he’s healthy and happy! His primary hobby seems to be sleeping under my desk, and purring while I edit wedding photos (he makes a awesome foot warmer!) We’ll probably consider a name change in the near future, as it’s probably not cool for your own name to rhyme with your pet’s!

On to the business at hand! Here’s a couple of awesome photos from Channing and Kim’s engagement shoot a few weeks ago.

(looking at those leaves makes me extra sad about the snow!)

…and one particularly crazy photo our assistant Ron took during Jennifer and Grant’s garter toss!

Jennifer and Grant

October 27, 2006

Jennifer and Grant’s wedding was non-stop fun, despite cold weather and stain mishaps. (P.S.- Tide To Go saves the day!)

Our assistant Ron also took a hilarious/brilliant shot of the garter toss, which I will post this weekend.

I’ve officially started the countdown! Only 10 days to Jeanette and Scott’s wedding in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico (just in time to escape yucky weather in Edmonton!)

Alison and Rob

October 24, 2006

It was a rainy day, but Alison and Rob made the best of it, braving the elements for a few photos at the Legislature Grounds. (Besides, rainy days are possibly the only time the Legislature isn’t filled with wedding photographers jostling for that prime position on the front steps! If you’ve ever been there on a Saturday in the summer, you know what I’m talking about!)

Then it was off to Commerce Place for a few more (much drier) photos!

Jeff and Sarah

October 13, 2006

Jeff and Sarah’s wedding was held at the Hotel Macdonald. We’ve shot here a lot (as I’m sure you’ve noticed if you’re a regular to this blog!) and we tend to spend the majority of our time behind the hotel in the courtyard – pretty flowers and River Valley View, the epitome of Edmonton.

This time around, we did a lot of the photos inside. Everything has this old-fashioned, antique feel – almost European.
