Mattie and Brittany

June 28, 2007

I’ve known Mattie since he was 9 years old – the little bro of my friend Silas! now he’s MARRIED! (Should I even be calling him “Mattie”??!)

Anyhow, here are some photos!
Yeah, that’s right.. that’s a COTTON BALL! Mattie’s mom is a florist, and when she asked her son what sort of a corsage he wanted, he responded with “I don’t know. Just a cotton ball with a pin in it!” WELL, SHE DELIVERED! (Actually, he had a “real” corsage as well, but this one’s far more hilarious.)

Photo booth fun! I think the first picture is super adorable… those two kids were waiting for their photos when we showed up, and were oblivious to the fact that I was taking photos!

A busy pedway:

Mattie and Brittany did photos before the ceremony, which was really unique – at Planet Ze Design Center, a venue normally used for fashion and art shows. It was completely brilliant for a wedding!

Two kissing photos!

Jo and Max

June 25, 2007

I’ve been fast friends with Jojo since our first semester at journalism school in 1999. We bonded instantly – she is super funny and adorable, and has an infectious laugh. I was honored and excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding to her super-cute Francophone sweetheart Max.

She is going to be thrilled I posted this. McDonalds and beer is the best way to start any morning. (I love their bilingual dining room.)

Shoe-ing…
A super cute moment: Max sees the gorgeous bride in her dress for the first time.

We did the “formals” before the ceremony. Very few brides and grooms go this route, but it’s totally the way to go if you’re not superstitious about the groom seeing the dress before the walk down the aisle. It’s great because by the time you get to the ceremony, all your nerves will have settled, and your guests won’t have to wait around between the ceremony and reception. Plus, the makeup and hair brides spend so long on in the morning is extra fresh and pretty for the photos.

As you can see, we had ridiculous amounts of fun.
I think that everyone can tell, looking at these photos, that these two are completely, ridiculously, radiantly in love, head over heels. It makes me so happy to know that my friend found the right person to be with forever.

Jo and her bling.
One half of the duo of angelic little flowergirls before the walk down the aisle.
The other flowergirl. What a cutie!

Max is stumped during the shoe game.Garter toss interception!

A few photos from Trevor and Jen’s engagement session with their cute beagle Chopper!

Channing and Kim

June 19, 2007

A few (okay, technically A LOT) of photos from Channing and Kim’s wedding. It was nearly impossible to whittle this post down to a manageable number of photos!

These two were so cute during the ceremony, as though there was no one else in the room! I love shooting at the University!

Kim and her grandma…

Those two tearing up the dance floor in a big way!

This photo makes me laugh every time I look at it! Possible title: “generation gap”?
