Kristina and Ben – New Years Eve wedding!
January 21, 2008What better way to ring in the new year than a wedding on a seriously gorgeous day (a little cold, but hey, it’s Alberta!)

The ultra cute flowergirl and ringbearer!

Here’s some photos from Maple-Dawn and Peter’s awesome wintery wedding on a frosty Saturday afternoon a couple of days before Christmas.
Maple Dawn’s mom and bridesmaid tying the dress:

A few from the ceremony:

It was one of those extra cold Alberta days, but Maple-Dawn and Peter are tough! It’s always awesome when a bride brings her warmest winter boots along for the photo shoot!

Outside of Rutherford House at the University with the wedding party.

A neat reflection in one of the Christmas tree decorations at the reception site.

I love this photo of Maple-Dawn and her mom laughing.

The first dance.

And a couple of cute candids from the reception!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year! Dallas and I spent NYE 2008 at a totally fun and unique wedding – photos to come soon! But first we’ll rewind back to 2007 with a few Christmassy family photos we took for the Edgar family.
The whole crew!

We had to take advantage of this awesome retro barber’s chair for a few super fun photos with the grandkids.

We took a few more holiday-ish photos on the staircase which was decorated for Christmas.

A really great time with a fantastic family!
Usually, as you can imagine, winters for wedding photographers in frosty Edmonton are fairly slow. This year is definitely an exception: we’re having our busiest winter season ever – we’re photographing a total of 3 weddings in January, and there are 2 weddings still to post from December, so stay tuned for more photos soon!
