Leah and Scott
February 19, 2008My good friend Leah got married in her hometown of Camrose last month, and I was excited and honored that I got to be her photographer. It was cold and blustery, but we got a few photos outside – this one’s my favorite. I love wintery trees:

Leah is extra special – she was my roommate for awhile in university, and is funny and kind and probably one of the smartest people I know. I could write pages about how much fun we’ve had together – we shared a lot of good times in our little basement suit by the U of A. She also introduced me to chocolate sprinkles on toast, breakfast of champions.
And she knows how to pick ‘em too! Scott is a super interesting guy – a very gifted writer, and I just know they’re going to have an incredible life together.
Anyhow, on to some more photos!
Leah hugs her uncle, who traveled all the way from the Netherlands for the wedding. Check out those sushi pyjamas!

Leah’s adorable nephew Owen:

Speaking of adorable, Leah’s 3 year old niece Gabriella was the flower girl. I swear, half the photos I took this day include this little girl. She was so funny.
Here she is, just making sure Leah’s shoes match her dress.

Leah’s walk down the aisle – I love the proud look on her mom and dad’s faces. When Leah saw this photo, she told me the only thing she saw at the end of that aisle was Scott: everyone else was a blur.

Leah is looking at her parents here, who are giving their blessing.

Adorable flower girl strikes again!

The church was just outside Camrose, in a teenytiny town called Armena. I wanted to do some photos here because I liked the rusty old trucks – the train passing was sort of a bonus!

And one last photo – a cute moment during the speeches – the look on both their faces is so great!
