The biggest post we’ve ever made from Joti and Shawn’s beautiful multi-day wedding. I’m about to post 80 photos, that’s right !!80!! which seems like a lot, but in all honesty, I could post more!
The Sangeet was Thursday’s celebration, and occured at both the bride and the groom’s respective houses.

Sikh weddings are so colorful and beautiful, full of incredible music and dancing.

The boys had a keg contest! Even Dallas was in on the action!

On Friday, the celebrations included choora and tumeric (and lots more dancing and fun!)

Looks like Shawn wasn’t too happy about the tumeric on his face!

The boys and their funny, somewhat non-traditional take on henna!

Saturday was the day of the marriage itself.
Shawn and the guys getting ready at this parents’ house.

The beautiful bride getting prepared for the big day.

Shawn leaving his parents house.

And Joti and the girls arriving at the temple!

Shawn rides a white horse up to the temple.

Little ears!

The women in the groom’s family feed the horse a bowl of oats.

And the procession to greet the bride’s family begins.

Inside the temple.

Joti’s father hands her the end of Shawn’s scarf to symbolize the union.

Joti looks excited!

We took some photos at Rundle Park.

Champagne shower!

its hard to pick favorites, but I think this next one is mine!

The Doli ceremony symbolizes the bride leaving her home and family, to join the groom and his family. The girls play some games before the guys are allowed in.

Hmm… what’s in the box, I wonder?

Confetti!

The guys launch a sneak silly string attack!

The ladies, deliberate for awhile and decide, finally, to let the groom inside. Shawn brought some giant scissors along to cut the ribbon stretched betweeen the 2 families.

The bride leaving her family always involves some tears.

However, Joti is welcomed back to Shawn’s family with songs and more dancing!

Sunday is party time! Joti getting ready for the reception.

And we made sure to get some photos downtown before they head off to dance the night away.

Another of my very favorites!

Every single detail was spectacular.

The first dance.

And the party begins!

Their families and friends definitely know how to have a good time!

These last two photos honestly make me laugh out loud! So awesome! That’s the head table the boys are standing on!

Thank you to both Joti and Shawn, and both of their awesome families, for an amazing time!
If 80 photos isn’t enough, you can see their slideshow here!
