Jen is super awesome! She’s the lovely lady behind Atmosphere Weddings.

We spent an afternoon at Hawrelak Park’s skating rink taking some new photos for her website. Jen set up an amazing little table setting right there on the ice – it was so pretty!

I met sweet little Nyah because her mommy and daddy bid on a photography package with me at Camp Fyrefly’s annual silent auction fundraiser. Nyah is a beautiful little girl with so much personality, sparkly eyes, and the sweetest little grins!

“Mom! Dad’s making me do funny faces!”

I think, in this next one, Nyah looks like she knows a secret the rest of us don’t! Babies are wise!

She LOVED this toy – she was so excited the second she saw it!

Belly laughs and little pouts – so many cute facial expressions!

Check out those eyelashes!

Kahlia and Steven

February 18, 2010

I’ve been chatting with Kahlia and Steven for almost a year now. They were enthusiastic about my work, but unfortunately I was booked for their July wedding. They’d decided they’d like to do photos with me anyhow, a more casual session together after their wedding, but before we could schedule anything, Kahlia emailed me with some great news – she was expecting!  So their photos together became maternity photos too!  I’m so happy for them!

Winter wonderland!

Thanks for freezing your butts off and patiently trudging through snowbanks, Kahlia and Steven!

Shawn and Carmen’s wedding

February 8, 2010

Here are some photos from Shawn and Carmen’s New Year’s Eve wedding!

Above photo by the extra-rad Mr. Marshall Watson.

I got this next ultra cute shot when Carmen took off her engagement ring to put lotion on her hands!

I like this next photo because you can really see in Carmen’s face how happy and excited she was. This is in the basement of the church right before she walked down the aisle.

The ceremony was at St. Albert Catholic Church – I love churches with balconies.

It was super cold out, but too beautiful a day not to brave the elements for a couple of photos outdoors.

The next one is the same moment, by Marshall, without the lighting.

Uggs are the secret. If your feet are warm, the rest of you stays warmer too!

Deep snow! Brave bride!

After we defrosted, we did a bunch more photos with the whole gang at the Kingsway Aviation Museum.

Top secret champagne break (awesome photo by Marshall:)

It looks like they’re dueling pilots in the next two shots!

Yum!

This is an awesome idea for those sore feet on the dance floor!

Shawn and Carmen, you two are amazing, and so much fun. Your wedding was gorgeous, and I wish you both all the best!
