Leyla and Tim’s wedding
July 29, 2010And now here are the photos from Leyla and Tim’s big day – talk about an amazing wedding!
My second shooter Bobbi took these next two photos of Tim:
Leyla and I both wear the same shade of lipstick – Lady Gaga signature pink! Awesome!
The wedding ceremony took place in Tim’s parents’ backyard. So beautiful! Even with these ominous clouds!
Bobbi took this one – you can see me crouched in the aisle!
The light inside the tent was so pretty and atmospheric and surreal. It started to rain a minute or two into the ceremony, and you could hear it lightly falling on the roof of the tent. It was so gorgeous.
Leyla and Tim incorporated the traditional Persian Sofreh-ye Aghd tradition, an elaborate spread of sweets and fruits. They sat in front of it to exchange their vows.
Two cones of sugar are ground together above Tim and Leyla’s head to symbolize sweetness and happiness.
Bobbi got this great shot of the rain – it was really coming down. Their tent was personalized with their wedding logo, which was a very pretty touch.
I love their faces – rain was dripping down the seam between the tents – which made for a mad dash back down the aisle!

And then the rain disappeared! Yay!
So, so happy. All day long, Leyla and Tim were absolutely thrilled! I love how genuine these smiles are – you can’t fake that.
Their reception was absolutely gorgeous, and held at one of my favorite venues ever – the Silvertip Golf Resort. The table numbers were famous philosophers – Tim studied philosophy in University.
The cake was beyond gorgeous!
And here’s the awesome outdoor patio overlooking the green.
When Tim and Leyla entered, everyone waved their napkins in the air and cheered!
And then the party started!
