Edmonton Wedding Photography at Butternut Tree Restaurant
Once again, the smiles tell the story! The pandemic was freshly “over” - gathering bans had been lifted just a couple of weeks before Nadia and Ryan’s big day. We were all vaxxed, and feeling beyond excited to see all of our friends again.
Nadia and Ryan’s wedding was the first big gathering for everyone, I think. We all felt a little tentative, excited to hold hands, to give each other HUGS, and then laugh and dance the night away! The vibe was nothing short of giddy.
Nadia and Ryan’s wedding is more than a story of 2 awesome people who found each other. It’s also a story of collective joy, of friends and family gathering to celebrate love after such a difficult and charged time. This day felt a little victorious, a little bittersweet, but 100 per cent joyful.
Both ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Butternut Tree Restaurant in downtown Edmonton, the food there is always INCREDIBLE. Along with the wedding party, Nadia and Ryan went on a little river valley adventure together to take some photos, and there was an impromptu limo party on the way there and back, with backflips and cocktails and raucous laughter. Friends and family really are everything, and this gorgeous wedding and amazing couple showed us all how much we’d missed.
I’ll remember the way that sweaty, awesome dance floor felt forever. <3
